Prehnite is a calcium aluminum silicate found in Australia, China, South Africa, Scotland and New Jersey USA.  The color is usually a translucent, soft green and is typically found with small inclusions of black tourmaline. Prehnite harmonizes with pink, green and black tourmaline among many other crystals, gemstones and minerals.
Prehnite is an Earth and Water element stone that resonates with the solar plexus and heart chakras. The Earth element aspect of Prehnite stabilizes and strengthens the flow of life force energy (chi) in the body, helping you feel less nervous or drained and encouraging a sense of peace and calm. The Water element aspect of Prehnite facilitates the expression of emotions or thoughts and helps you communicate them in a positive, nonjudgmental way. It also helps you to release emotional "baggage" and just "go with the flow".  I like to visualize all my worries, concerns, fears floating away down a peaceful stream as I let them all go!
Prehnite links the solar plexus chakra (seat of power) with the heart chakra thereby creating a connection where your power is used to carry out the urging of the heart. It invokes the use of your personal power in the service of love. In this way, your actions come from a place of peace and your desires are in alignment with the highest good possible in every situation. 
On a physical level, Prehnite purifies the energies of the digestive and circulatory systems as well as the kidneys, adrenals, liver and gallbladder. It can help clear toxins from the body through the lymphatic and urinary systems.

Rose Quartz is a well-known and very popular member of the Quartz family. Its name is derived from its color which can range from very pale pink to a deep reddish pink and its clarity ranges from opaque to translucent.  It is found in Brazil, Madagascar and the USA. 
Rose Quartz is a Water element stone and resonates with the heart chakra. It is considered the universal stone of Love (for yourself, others, the Earth, the Universe and the Divine). It emanates a gentle, soothing energy that bathes the body, mind and spirit in the healing and enlightening frequency of Love.
Rose Quartz calms the mind and helps you relieve worry, stress, anger, fear and anxiety. It helps you feel more open to receiving and sharing love, compassion and kindness.
Rose Quartz is one of the most important crystals to wear, to use in meditation and to keep in your environment. In meditation, it provides a cocoon of love energy around you and activates the heart chakra, helping you move into a sense of union with All That Is. Placing Rose Quartz crystals in your home (especially under your bed) will fill the rooms with its gentle, loving energies. Wearing a Rose Quartz necklace can help you interact with others with kindness and in a state of harmony.
On a physical level, Rose Quartz is gently stabilizing for the heart. I can personally attest to its beneficial effect in this area. I have a condition where my heart occasionally does extra beats (sometimes referred to as palpitations or skipped beats). Let me be clear that this is NOT a life-threatening condition and I have been fully evaluated by a cardiologist. Having said that, I typically have episodes when I am trying to sleep.  When that happens, I place a rose quartz crystal on my chest and one in each hand, practice deep breathing and the palpitations go away quickly. It is extremely important that if you experience any issues with your heart you should seek medical attention first and be fully evaluated and under the care of a cardiologist as needed. Crystals should only be used as an energetic healing therapy in addition to any necessary medical treatment. 
Overall, Rose Quartz is an important and powerful crystal of our time so it is understandable that many people are drawn to its gentle, soothing energies. My favorite affirmation to use with this beautiful crystal is  "I open my heart to receive and express the energy of Love".

Aventurine is a member of the Quartz family and is found primarily in three colors - green, blue and red-brown. The color of green aventurine comes from microscopic Fuchsite particles within the Quartz.  Major deposits of aventurine are found in Brazil, Russia and India.
Green Aventurine is a Water and Earth element stone and resonates with the heart chakra.
With the combination of Water and Earth element energies, it allows you to remain emotionally stable through periods of change and upheaval. It acts as an emotional anchor, keeping you heart-centered during emotional storms.
Its frequency stimulates a sense of hope, joy, optimism and a zest for life. In this manner, I consider this my overall "feel good" stone. It gives me a feeling of lightness and a sense of "all is well" when dealing with the ups and downs of life.  
Green Aventurine is also considered a stone of "good luck" and can be used to manifest greater prosperity in your life. 
On the physical level, Green Aventurine helps heal the heart and regulate the circulatory system. It also stimulates cell repair, regrowth and general healing. It enhances the movement of life-force energy in the body and increases physical vitality.

Amazonite is a feldspar mineral which ranges in color from green to blue-green. Its' name is derived from the Amazon River in Brazil where there are substantial Amazonite deposits. It is also found in Colorado, India, Madagascar and Russia.
Amazonite jewelry has been produced for thousands of years. It was used in India, Egypt and pre-Columbian South America and Central America. An Amazonite scarab ring was among Tutankhamen's treasures.  How awesome is that! 
Amazonite is a water element stone and resonates with the heart and throat chakras. It is considered a stone of truth, communication and harmony. As a stone of personal truth, it allows you to express your heart through effective communication. It can also be helpful for those who are out of touch with their truth. When someone doesn't know what they want or what they have to offer the world, Amazonite can assist them in gaining clarity and point them toward their gifts and abilities. 
Amazonite magnifies your intentions and empowers you to manifest your dreams and desires. Because it works through the throat chakra, your intentions must be spoken aloud. Holding an Amazonite while affirming aloud what you wish to create can powerfully enhance your ability to bring it into being.  Amazonite teaches us to speak the truth and to make what we speak come true. 
On a physical level, it is an excellent stone for arthritis. It can also help balance the thyroid and adrenals, especially when these glands are over-taxed by excessive stress.
I personally love the color of Amazonite and when I wear it I feel calm, I feel I can speak my heart's truth with clarity and I feel I can communicate with others effectively. I hope this stone with its' beautiful energy can help you as well. 

Amethyst is a member of the Quartz family and its color can vary from pale to deep purple. This well-known crystal is found in many locations throughout the world including Brazil, Uruguay, Mexico, Africa, Canada, the USA and Europe.
Amethyst has been prized for its beauty and legendary energies of protection and purification for thousands of years. In ancient Egypt it was made into beads and amulets. In early Greek and Roman societies it was viewed as a stone of royalty and was used in crowns and scepters.  
Amethyst is a Wind element crystal and resonates with the third eye and crown chakras. It can clear your energy field of negative influences and attachment and create an energetic shield of Light to ward off negativity in your environment.  For this reason, Amethyst is an ideal crystal to place in your home, meditation room, car or office to feel surrounded and protected by a "bubble of Light".

One way that I personally use Amethyst is for protection when I am driving. I have a small crystal that I keep in the car and I call upon Archangel Michael and the energy of the crystal to protect me whenever I get in the car. I visualize a field of white Light surrounding me and my car then I am ready to go!

Carnelian is a variety of Chalcedony, a mineral in the Quartz family.  Its' color can range from pale orange to deep red-orange and sometimes it is banded in varying shades. The best specimens of Carnelian come from India, but most of them on the market today come from Brazil or Uruguay.
Carnelian is a powerful Fire element stone and resonates with the root, sacral and solar plexus chakras. By activating these three lower chakras, it is an excellent ally to help you build confidence, courage and power within yourself to take action and manifest your goals and dreams. It also helps you overcome fear and embrace change in your life.
Carnelian is an excellent aid for the physical body. It enhances the flow of life-force energy to strengthen and fortify the body and increase physical vitality. It also helps you break negative or hurtful physical habits and improve overall physical health.
When I wear Carnelian, I feel strong and empowered - like I can accomplish anything! I feel more focused and determined in pursuing my goals and I have more physical energy! Labradorite is a form of feldspar whose name is derived from the Labrador peninsula in Canada where it was found in the 1700's. It is still found in Canada as well as Madagascar, Mexico, Russia and the United States.  It is well known and treasured for its beautiful play of color (labradorescence), which shows flashes of green, blue, gold, orange and sometimes violet with violet being the rarest. 
Labradorite is a powerful Wind element stone and resonates with all chakras. It facilitates the enhancement of intuitive abilities including but not limited to clairvoyance, telepathy, astral travel, past-life recall, access to Akashic records and communication with spirit guides. 
Working with or wearing Labradorite creates a force field throughout your aura, protecting and strengthening the energies within and preventing others from tapping in to your personal energy and draining you. On the physical level, it can amplify your healing thoughts and prayers.

 Larimar is a form of blue pectolite that forms in cavities within basaltic lava. It is characterized by dramatic patterns of blue, blue-green and white. It may also contain vivid red-brown Hematite and black Basalt inclusions. It is found only on the island of Hispaniola (Dominican Republic) in the Caribbean Sea.
Energetically, Larimar resonates with the throat chakra. It gives you the confidence and emotional strength to effectively communicate your emotions, to speak from the heart and to access the voice of your deepest wisdom. It also teaches the value of self-nurturance and self-respect.
Larimar emanates a calming frequency. Titanium Quartz is a name given to a specially coated type of Quartz. The process involves placing the Quartz in a chamber with titanium and other metal oxides in vaporized form that are bonded with the Quartz to produce a beautiful "rainbow" effect of color reflections. The typical forms of Quartz that are used are individual quartz points, clusters of quartz points and druzy quartz (tiny crystals formed together). 
Energetically, titanium projects emotional strength, mental acuity and physical power. These properties are amplified by the Quartz base crystals. As part of my Reiki learning and training, I have come to understand that all matter is energy that vibrates at a certain frequency or range of frequencies within the full electromagnetic spectrum of the planet. As such, WE are energy and within our bodies we have energy centers (chakras) that vibrate at specific frequencies and regulate all aspects of our physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. Crystals and gemstones vibrate at various frequencies that resonate with one or more of the energy centers (chakras) in our body. This resonance is the basis of their healing properties.
My mantra is "Let your song be heard" and I truly believe in this mantra because that is what the healing energies of crystals allowed me to do. It is my heartfelt desire to help you do the same.
