Rose Quartz - Songbird Healing Crystal Facts

Rose Quartz is a well-known and very popular member of the Quartz family. Its name is derived from its color which can range from very pale pink to a deep reddish pink and its clarity ranges from opaque to translucent.  It is found in Brazil, Madagascar and the USA. 
Rose Quartz is a Water element stone and resonates with the heart chakra. It is considered the universal stone of Love (for yourself, others, the Earth, the Universe and the Divine). It emanates a gentle, soothing energy that bathes the body, mind and spirit in the healing and enlightening frequency of Love.
Rose Quartz calms the mind and helps you relieve worry, stress, anger, fear and anxiety. It helps you feel more open to receiving and sharing love, compassion and kindness.
Rose Quartz is one of the most important crystals to wear, to use in meditation and to keep in your environment. In meditation, it provides a cocoon of love energy around you and activates the heart chakra, helping you move into a sense of union with All That Is. Placing Rose Quartz crystals in your home (especially under your bed) will fill the rooms with its gentle, loving energies. On a physical level, Rose Quartz is gently stabilizing for the heart. I can personally attest to its beneficial effect in this area. I have a condition where my heart occasionally does extra beats (sometimes referred to as palpitations or skipped beats). Let me be clear that this is NOT a life-threatening condition and I have been fully evaluated by a cardiologist. Having said that, I typically have episodes when I am trying to sleep.  When that happens, I place a rose quartz crystal on my chest and one in each hand, practice deep breathing and the palpitations go away quickly. It is extremely important that if you experience any issues with your heart you should seek medical attention first and be fully evaluated and under the care of a cardiologist as needed. Crystals should only be used as an energetic healing therapy in addition to any necessary medical treatment.
